Bought this because of a few dead patches where the dog had done a wee on the lawn and it had killed the grass. I tried this one two of the larger patches. Initially seeded on 1 May (see before photos) and this is what the area looks like now on 16 May. It grew a bit slower than expected, but it's worth noting that we were still having cold nights and frosts this year, but it's definitely growing. The whole pot is marked as needing to be used in one season, so I guess it needs to be used up in one year. I'll do the smaller patches over the next year. The tub does say that the new grass will be more "salt" resistant grass which could mean it's less worried by dog wee. We always water down the wee when it happens with a watering can with a rose on for five seconds, but sometimes she does something and has moved on before we notice which is probably why the dead patches are there.

Ideal for small repairs, easy to use and does the job.

Our pet Malshi (Maltese Terrier - Shih Tzu mix breed) is a female and they are notorious for having stronger urine than male dogs. We never realised how much so until we checked the grass after a few weeks of letting her out.This product looked ideal to tackle the damage and sure enough, it worked. I should have taken before, during and after pics but you're always wise after the event!This was just before mid-Autumn, so a little longer for the seeds to germinate but they did. My wife is the green-fingered one in our house, so I was pleased, as her otherwise garden labourer, to get this to work!😉

The instructions say results in four days ,Nothing like four days ,took over two weeks before green shoots appeared .I am sure the instructions are wrong ,as I followed them to the letter ,but nothing happened for ages.However the shoots are now growing well and I hope to have a nice green patch or two very soon .

Previously gave this product a bad review. Took ages for grass to come through but probably because it was spring and no warmth. Have used it since and am pleased at the result. Taking 10 days to come through but when it does it is very thick. So yes, changed my opinion.

Followed instructions to the letter.We saw little or no new growth

I had really badly stained grass from my dog. My turf was newly layed and was stained bad in no time. I bought some dog stones for my dogs water and once they worked I treated the grass with this and I must say I was very impressed. Just make sure you put this down at the correct time of year (not winter) and you water it. My grass is lovely and green and you would never know that stains had ever been there. Easy to use and great value for money

Fortunately, I used this a few months before the drought set it in; unfortunately all the patches as well as the rest of the lawn now look brown.Timing aside this was easy to apply needing a light rake over the worn out area and then sprinkle over the top. I also lightly tamped down the mixture to ensure contact with the soil.It took a bit longer than the prescribed 4 days for the first shoots to appear but daily watering over 10 days provided noticeable growth over I'd say 75% of the mixture I'd laid down. After a few more weeks half of the mixture was growing strongly and the other half was a bit patchy but that could be down to the poor soil my lawn covers.Overall I'd say it does work if well and constantly watered but it is expensive per sq m so use judicially.
